The Heavy Word Farewell

Right leave-taking is always difficult.
There is for instant the french-leave. It means that a guest suddendly
or even secretly disappears from a meeting or another event.
In contrast to that is the melodramatic farewell-ceremony in Russia,
always with a lot of huggings and kissings and even tears of adieu.
In Germany the good-by saying is of course more serious with polite
handshaking to everybody.
And what about the UK? The English say firmly Good-by with big
thank for the rest. But than they repeat that several times, and so
again and again. But eventuelly they will not walk away and will stay on.
