Cat story 2

After Lilly disappeared into cat heaven after many, many years, I once visited a farm. There were so many kittens running around, you could hardly count them. The farmer's wife asked the visitors to take a kitten with them, as there were too many on the farm. I grabbed a small one and drove home. As soon as I placed it on the kitchen floor, it disappeared under the cupboard. I put milk and food on the floor and went into the living room. It was almost evening, so I checked the kitchen again; the food was untouched, and the little cat was nowhere to be seen. I simply spoke quietly to it and then went to bed. The next morning, the kitten was still nowhere to see. I made breakfast for the family and just thought, once she'd get hungry and come out of the hiding. After my husband went to work and the children went to school, the kitten came out and drank and ate. I did my work, and it watched me. She soon realized it was safe and began exploring her new surroundings. The next day, I was able to touch her and carry it around. Then I saw it was a male cat. He soon felt at home and became quite cheeky. When I came into the kitchen in the morning, he would bite my slipper and just let himself be dragged along. When I was phoning , he would jump up on my shoulder to listen. /will be continued to morrow.
