Sand cake

What´s for Sunday coffee time? I´ll bake a so-called sand cake, but it does not taste sandy but juicy. Even my grandmother baked it. She put 16 eggs into the pastry, (would you believe it) my mother reduced to 12 eggs and I reduced to 10. It still tastes great and is always a success. We call it the pound cake, it's easy to remember: 1 pound of butter, 1 pound of sugar, 10 eggs, 1 pound of flour, 1 packet of baking soda, some rum and a few drops of bitter almond oil.
Actually, I wanted to invite to teatime and bake scones, but because of the data protection law, I can not publish the recipe, because it is not invented by me, laugh.
