Attraction in Scotland

If you ever go to Scotland don´t miss the „Kelpies“ and the ship lift. To be seen near Falkirk, at the Firth and Clyde canal, which connects the Atlantic and the North Sea. A friend was there, but sent only a picture of her husband in front of the huge horses sculptures, so I can´t upload it. Search the internet for „Kelpies, near Falkirk“ and you can watch a lot of photos and even a video. The sculptures are built together from steel plates, of a weight of three hundred tons. At night they are lit in different colours. It is in memory of the working horses, who pulled the ships along the canal. (Treidelpferde) They now guard the ship lift, which is a giant wheel. From there you can go by boat to Edinburgh.
