What do you think about hoarding groceries?

I read that many people buy flour and oil because it could get rare or rationed.
It may be justified, but what can you do? Instead of wheat flour you can also use oat, rye or spelled flour. I bake cakes with ground walnuts instead of wheat flour and you can also fry with plant fat or lard instead of oil. Cream instead of oil also goes well with salads. Let's hope things don't get that bad! Those of us who experienced the Second World War bring back bad memories are coming back. Lucky those who have a garden, I have one. It is anchored in me to be independent and as self-sufficient as possible.Will now grow double the amount of potatoes and vegetables. My walnut tree, which I planted 60 years ago, gives me enough nuts, there are also berries, and I will replace the old apple trees with new ones. Everything takes a lot of work though I like doing it and exercise in the fresh air is good and keeps you healthy.
